Tattoo Trends: Foxes

13 Gorgeous Fox Tattoos

Fox tattoos seem to have been growing in popularity in the last few years. This may be because there has been a big surge in popularity for anything woodland; not just in tattoos but fashion and home too. Foxes are one of the favourite woodland symbols. In fact, I've done a Tattoo Trends post on animal tattoos before, and this fox tattoo was by far the most popular on Pinterest.

Traditionally, a fox symbolises intelligence, cunning, and often trickery. People choose to have them tattooed to reference these features as well as a sense of fun, wildness and an affinity with nature.

I've gathered together a few of my favourite fox tattoos that I've seen around the web; there are some stunningly amazing ones done by very talented artists.

A lot of fox tattoos are realistic and have a traditional feel.

Other people are choosing to have more cartoon styled fox tattoos, or ones with a surrealistic feel.

If I Were A Rich (Wo)Man - Clocks

Keep Time with This Week's Clock-full Wishlist

I'm still into the home purchases and this week's wishlist features clocks. I love clocks, not just because they tell time, but because they can be decorative pieces as well. Here are my top clocks, at top prices.

The Mantel Clock

Quirky Ceramic Mantel Clock by Ian Roberts

This Quirky Ceramic Mantel Clock by Ian Roberts is weird and wonderful. Available from Iapetus, the clock is handmade and painted a light blue. I love the surreal look and the twist on the traditional mantel piece clock.

Priced £159

The Vintage Clock

Vintage Metropolitan Large Round Wall Clock

I love this railway station style clock from Artisanti. The Metropolitan Large Round Wall Clock has a grey aged metal rim and an antiqued white face with Roman numerals. It's perfect for a vintage look in the home, though it is a metre wide so you'll need plenty of wall space.

Priced £204

The Colourful Clock

Aqua Industrial Wall Clock from Littlewoods

The rather unimaginatively named Wall Clock with Solid Centre from Littlewoods is a great mix of old and new; the aqua colour provides a fresh, modern feel while the distressed industrial look gives it a traditional look. I also love that it has cogs on display.

Priced £45

The Map Clock

Personalised Map Clock

The Personalised Map Clock from The Contemporary Home makes a great gift, but I'd like to buy one just for myself. You can select the map area you want by providing a postcode; you could have your home, where you grew up, or somewhere else meaningful. I also love that the map has an aged look; very vintage.

Priced £46

That's all for this week.

Happy Friday!

2014 Bridal Collections

The Best 2014 Wedding Dresses

Amaryllis Wedding Dress - Claire Pettibone

January traditionally sees an abundance of new bridal gowns hitting the stores, salons and boutiques, and 2014 is no different. I've collected a few of my favourite dresses from four top wedding dress designers' 2014 collections. Though they're all different, they each have a classic, vintage or timeless feel about them because, hey, that's what this blog is all about.

Take a gander at the dresses below, even if you're not getting married this year, you can admire the beauty.

Temperley London

A British fashion icon, Alice Temperley delivers another stunning wedding dress collection with her latest range, Iris. Alice is a pro at combining vintage styling with a modern feel. This year it seems she's been influenced by The Great Gatsby film as her dresses have a twenties look, especially the Romily dress.

Claire Pettibone

Queen of florals, Claire Pettibone continues her love of flowers in her latest collection, Still Life. It was inspired by a painting from 1716 by Rachel Ruysch called Still Life of Flowers on a Marble Table.

Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham dresses are always elegant and timeless, and her latest collection is the same. The 2014 collection is beautiful in its simplicity; there's no fuss and frills, just great style and silhouettes.

BHLDN

An American company, BHLDN has gowns in British shops plus they ship to the UK, so my fellow Brits can get hold of these beauties. The latest 2014 collection has a slightly Grecian feel. The dresses are fit for goddesses, yet they do not look ridiculously over the top; you'd look stunning in any one of these gowns.

Jessica Chastain is Brave

Annie Leibovitz Photographs Jessica Chastain as Merida from Disney's Brave

Jessica Chastain as Merida from Brave - Annie Leibovitz - Disney Dream Portraits

Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain was photographed by Annie Leibovitz as part of the Disney Dream Portraits series, which sees celebrities portraying as famous Disney characters.

Brave is one of my favourite modern Disney films because of its ancient, earthy setting and a heroine with some balls. Plus, Chastain is one of my favourite actresses at the moment; she's hilarious in The Help, enigmatic in Lawless and tenacious in Zero Dark Thirty. She and the film Brave make a perfect combination.

Her portrait is the latest one from the Annie Leibovitz's Disney Dream Portrait series, others include Rachel Weisz as Snow White.

Julianne Moore as Ariel and Michael Phelps as a merman from The little Mermaid.

If I Were A Rich (Wo)Man - Sofa Seating

I'm still very much into my home products at the moment, last week it was crockery, this week it's sofas. It's a rather random choice for a wishlist I know, but I just keep spotting really lovely seating. Maybe it's because my own sofa is covered in fur and dog foot prints from this guy.

Dog

Anyway, here are some lovely sofas that my dog would definitely not be allowed anywhere near.

The Striped Sofa

Stripe Vintage Sofa

The Twin Stripe Sofa from Sweet Pea and Willow is an original design that combines a modern feeling with traditional touches. The neautral colour would blend with most colour schemes but the beige does not make it boring, this is a really fun sofa that also has an elegant look.

Priced £1095

The Love Seat

Purple Vintage Love Seat Sofa

I'm not usually into purple in the home but I love the sumptuous shades in the French Funky Upholstered Designer Love Seat from Chichi Furniture. Combined with the silver frame it's a luxurious sofa but also a, dare I say it, 'funky' one. It's also got a bit of a Great Gatsby feel, which you've got to love.

Priced £1249.99

The Chaise Longue

Vintage Chaise Longue

It's not technically a sofa but the Versailles Gold Chaise Longue from The French Bedroom Company is so beautiful that I had to include it on this wishlist. If you were going to lie around on this then you'd have to be wearing some kind of flowing nightie. It's the perfect thing to faint onto.

Priced £1060

The Blue Sofa

Blue vintage Debenhams sofa

This is a rather simple sofa, but I love the deep blue colour and the vintage style. The Chesterfield sofa from Debenhams also looks rather squishy and comfy, which is what I really look for in a sofa.

Priced £800, it's down from £2000 so it's practically a bargain!

That's all for this week folks.

Happy Friday!

A Whole Lot of Rosie - Loving Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Lingerie Range

Want to be in Rosie's Knickers?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Cami Suspender - Rosie for Autograph

Who wouldn't want to be in Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's knickers? The goddess/freak of nature super model has been collaborating with department store Marks and Spencers for a while now to design her Rosie for Autograph range of underwear, and it just seems to get better and better.

I love a bit of lingerie, as you may have gathered from previous posts, and the Rosie for Autogrph range is one of my favourites. It's got a vintage feel yet it doesn't age; these pieces will always be in style. Here are a few more of the best pieces from the range.
