If I Were A Rich (Wo)Man: Druzy Jewellery

This week's wishlist is made up of sparkly druzy (or drusy?) finds with a high price tag.

I'm not sure what the correct spelling is, I'll go with druzy for now.

Druzy jewellery is becoming popular, but it has been around for a number of years. Sometimes known as druse or quartz, druzy is a group of small crystals formed on and in rock, such as agate. It comes in lots of different colours, making it ideal for jewellery.

Crazy Lace Agate Druzy Ring - Glenn Designs

Wearing this Crazy Lace Agate Druzy Ring from Glenn Designs, you'd know you had a piece of the natural world on your finger. It's carved from agate and features druzy crystals that formed within the cavities.

The Druzy Cuff

Jetta Druzy Cuff - Style Arrest

The chunky quality of druzy stones means they work well with cuffs. This Jetta Druzy Cuff from Style Arrest also includes zirconia and black onyx. The geometric shapes provide an Art Deco look.

Now this is a necklace and a half! The Titanium Druzy Necklace is sold by silverrushstyle on ebay. It's a real statement piece that would be best shown off with a plain top or dress.

I love the colours in it and the almost Grecian style.

If I Were A Rich (Wo)Man: Woodland Wonders

The woodland trend has been going strong for a couple of years now, both in fashion and homeware. It can become easy to get sick of the twee foxes and rabbits adorning jumpers and tea cups, but I've got to admit I still like the forest fashion. That's why this week's wishlist is woodland themed.

Next up is this Fox and Cubs Bag by Lush Designs.

The illustrations from this company are lovely, they have lots of designs; cats, rabbits and bees. But the foxes are my favourite. £21 isn't really that expensive, and it is practically a work of art. I may splurge on this one.

Another animal motif product next.

Hare Appliqué cushion from Rose and Grey

I love the Hare Appliqué Cushion from Rose and Grey, especially the patchwork style and the vintage textiles. However, it's £75, for a cushion. I think if I actually had £75 I wouldn't spend it on a cushion on principle.

Finally in my woodland trend is this beautiful Rose Root Silver Wrapped Ring by Anthony Blakeney.

If I Were A Rich (Wo)Man: Eclectic Taste

Bit of a strange mix of items this week in my one day wish list.

Firstly, I've been admiring this Forest Friends range of homewares from Magpie.

I'm jumping the gun a bit as the collection is not actually out until September. I know woodland is a trend that has been done into the ground, but this has a fresh feeling to it and lovely illustrations.

I particularly like the mugs.

Mugs are only £8.50 each, which is doable, but I sort of want the whole collection, which will empty my purse.

My next item is entirely different all together. Fashion designer Alice Temperley has just released her Pre-Fall collections fro Temperley London. In The Heron Maiden collection (good name) is this Long Cherry Blossom Dress.

Her clothes are always lovely, but I particularly like the cut of this dress and the embroidery teamed with 3-D applique. You wouldn't be able to walk normally wearing this dress; you'd have to waft.
I don't know how much this is but Temperley items aren't cheap, to be honest I don't really want to know.


Another fashion item: I've fallen in love with this Gold Crab Ring from Wons Upon A Time.

I don't really know why I like the crab design, I'm not a Cancer star sign, I just like the delicate and lifelike style and think it's quite a unique motif to see in jewellery design.
At £185 though I'm just going to have to dream.

Finally, and in a totally different direction, I want this Justonian Floorstanding Globe for my house.

I don't think it would even fit in my house but I still want it. I've wanted a globe for ages, I can while away hours spinning and pinning places to go. I love the antique look of this one.

If I Were A Rich (Wo)Man: 21/06/13

Another week another collection of beautiful items that I can't afford.

First is this gorgeous ALICE + OLIVIA dress from Revolve Clothing.

I like that it has a classic Grecian look and is quite demure, but then the back cut out gives it a cheeky edge.

It also comes in navy, I'm not sure which I prefer.

At $596 (£380) it's definitely out of my limited price range. But I can still look at it and drool.

I discovered this next dream purchase when I attended an open day at Cockpit Arts, a place for crafters to work and display their wares. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in London.
Designer Sian Zeng has a studio there and one of her many wonderful creations is her collection of magnetic wallpaper.

I don't just like it because it's magnetic, which is amazing, but the pattern is so lovely; featuring woodland scenes with a surreal twist. You can also get characters to attach to the wall with wipe clean speech bubbles that you can write on.

 At £248 a roll this is definitely still a fantasy. Plus, it's supposed to be for children.


Lastly I have been eyeing this Fleur De Lis Shield Ring by Pyrrha.

I like the traditional shield motif. It's powerful yet delicate. The oxidised finish gives it an antique look which I love.

Alas, it is £300.
I just wanted to use the word alas, it's a good one and I don't get many chances.

Only three items this week but they're expensive enough to make up the price of four.
