The release of Maleficent the film has seen the spotlight turned on vintage Disney villains. But for some these villains from our childhood have always stayed with us. In tattoo form.
Disney tattoos have always been popular but most opt for the sweet Disney princesses and lovable characters, not many go for the villains. But, let's face it, the villains are always the best. And many people get them tattooed on themselves forever; either to prolong a memory, symbolise a 'screw you' point of view, or just because they like them.
I've collected a selection of amazing Disney villain tattoos featuring some of the most famous and terrifying baddies from Disney's films.
Evil Queen Tattoos
Let's go back to the beginning, to the very first Disney feature length film, Snow White. The evil queen was the perfect foil to the soppy, high pitched princess. She manages to be terrifying without looking like a monster, the most scary type of villain.
Ursula Tattoos
Ursula from The Little Mermaid is another popular Disney villain tattoo. She's got attitude, she's fun and she's working it for curvy women everywhere.
Maleficent Tattoos
Before the latest film came out people were already getting tattoos of vintage Disney villain Maleficent. She combines steely beauty with a devilish appearance and manages to take the edge off the sugary sweet film.
Also, even though the film has just come out, people are already starting to get tattoos of Angelina Jolie as Maleficent. This one is amazingly realistic.
Hades Tattoos
The female Disney villains seem to be the most popular as tattoo subjects, but here's a man who's appeared on a fair amount of skin. Hades from Hercules is a great villain, he mixes a fearful exterior and terrifying smile with comedy and the great voice of James Woods.
Disney Villain Tattoos - Group Shot
Some people can't settle for just one and choose to have all the Disney bad guys tattooed on them.
